Help / Getting started

Get started with Foldwrap

Foldwrap turns an approved design into a complete set of animated ads — HTML5, video or GIF — that stays editable for the next revision. This page follows one campaign from Figma frames to delivered files, and links to the detailed guide for every step.

Import from Figma

The design is approved and lives in Figma. Import the frames and keep the layout, text and layer names you already have.

Your first campaign, step by step

The route below assumes a Figma start. With an example or an AI draft, begin at step 2.

  1. Import the frames

In Figma, select the frames of every size — several frames per size play as scenes of one banner. Run the Foldwrap plugin, leave “Freeze text appearance” off so text stays editable, click Import, then Open in Foldwrap. Each size becomes a variant of one creative.

  2. Check the import against the design

Compare fonts, line breaks, logos and effects with the approved frame before building on it. If the plugin warns about a font, upload it under custom fonts; a vector logo that arrived in pieces can be flattened with a layer-name prefix and re-imported.

  3. Refine the animation

Every element starts with automatic animation from the creative’s preset. Change the preset for the whole banner, drag timeline bars to retime single elements, and switch to keyframes only where a moment needs precise motion.

  4. File it in a campaign and list what you owe

After a Figma import the editor offers + Add to campaign. On the campaign page, enter the required variants — sizes like 300x250, or named versions like 160x600-black1. The coverage grid then shows what is built, exported, or still missing.

  5. Build the missing sizes

Click a missing size in the coverage grid to open AI resize at exactly that size, then adjust the layout. When one size’s motion is approved, use Copy motion from… to bring the others in line.

  6. Set export targets and the click-through

Pick every ad platform the set ships to, so each gets its own tuned ZIP, and set the default landing page — once on the campaign, or per creative. Row warnings flag overlong animation or a missing click URL before export.

    Export targets and click links
  7. Export, share and deliver

Use Export → Export all variants HTML5, or Export Video / Export GIF where a placement needs them. Send the client one review link for the whole campaign, then download the delivery package with a manifest for ad ops.
